At Salem, our mission is clear: “to reach people where they are and celebrate God’s love together.” This vision guides everything we do, and today, I challenge each one of us to live out this mission in a tangible way. Together, we can make a powerful impact on our community, our church family, and ourselves.
I invite you to take the following steps in fulfilling this mission:
1. Meet People Where They Are:
Each week, look for someone who may need encouragement or support. Whether it’s someone who hasn’t been in church recently or a neighbor you haven’t spoken to in a while, reach out with kindness and love, showing them God’s grace where they are in their life.
2. Celebrate God’s Love Together:
Our Sunday services, Bible studies, and events are opportunities for us to come together as a family to celebrate God’s love. I challenge you to be present, whether physically or virtually, and make an effort to engage with others, lifting up the name of Jesus in unity.
3. Live With Intentionality:
Embrace the mission of meeting people where they are, not just within the walls of our church, but in your daily life. Whether at work, school, or in your neighborhood, let your actions, words, and kindness reflect the love of God.You never know who might need to feel God’s love today.
4. Share Your Story:
Invite others to experience what God is doing in your life. Share the joy of His love, and encourage others to come experience the warmth and hope found in Christ here at Salem.
5. Serve Together:
Take time to serve others, both within our congregation and beyond. Whether you’re helping with outreach, volunteering for an event, or offering a helping hand to a family in need, you are helping to celebrate God’s love in action.
As we take on this challenge together, let’s remember our mission: “Reaching people where they are and celebrating God’s love together.” I am confident that as we live this out, we will see lives transformed, hearts healed, and the love of Christ shine brightly in all that we do.
Together in Christ,
