Principal Function:
Primary responsibility for seeing that the church school as a whole functions properly.
Responsibilities:
1. Preside at general assemblies of the church school.
2. Formulate goals and objectives for the church school.
3. Recruit teachers and other workers with the approval of the Council.
4. Supervises the work of the Church school staff in planning, implementing, and evaluating.
5. Report regularly to the Council regarding concerns, needs, and accomplishments of the school.
6. Work with the chairman of the council to develop, implement, and promote a teacher-training program.
7. Promote special day emphases in the church school calendar (promotion day, Vacation Bible School, religious education week, etc.)
8. Establish a program for enrollment.
9. Conduct meetings as a planning tool for teachers.
